Where Am I?

My Expat-terns

5. A fried egg on top makes any food better!
54. Nothing beats getting a haircut in a foreign country. What is more intimate? A conversation with a nice trim is the best way to get to know a city from a local.
13. You and your host family should try to learn from each other. That means you both have to be open minded.
29. Love is hard when one frequently comes and goes, but love is learning. Though, travel can make relationships hard, always continue to find who and what you love.
91. Never underestimate the lengthiness of a third culture kid’s life story …
60. Pout in the Paris metro system.
105. As a friend once said, rap, everywhere but the US it seems, tends to be protest.
23. Experiencing change when you travel is good, but it comes from within not the influence of others.
75. If you as a citizen of the United States are often abroad during important national holidays, I recommend doing very American activities to compensate for your utter lack of patriotism. Nothing obnoxious of course, but why not spend a little time at Starbucks on the 4th of July in Prague or buy something online you definitely do not need on Labor Day in Taiwan? Very American.
98. Halloween is sadly not accepted by everyone. It is a very culturally relative holiday.

Try mantou, kebab, palaw, and saffron tea, portions perfect for sharing!

Service is impeccable and kind, with a perhaps overly organized reservation system xoxo
