“There is no moment of delight in any pilgrimage like the beginning of it.” – Charles Dudley Warner

Here we are, the first post. This blog will be a journal, memoir, and documentation of my travels and international interests, be them zoological, ecological, political, or social. Obviously when I am traveling, posts will be more frequent, but I will do my best to keep you updated regularly. But first before any of that, I think I should share some of the names that Expat-terns beat in the competition that is blog naming. Some are witty, some aren’t, but I do believe before we really get started, I share should them. At least they are being read. It’s their honorary mention.

  Here they are:

  • Young Anthropolostein (Ode to Gene Wilder’s Young Frankenstein)
  • Let’s Go Exploring …
  • Into the Wild, Blue Yonder
  • Come and Go as You Please
  • Just Remember to Close the Door (These two were thought up, not surprisingly, together)
  • Sadly Stagnant Nomad
  • This is One Big Planet
  • Foreign
  • Asian American Alien

So let’s take this journey together. Additionally, I will offer information as well as ways to travel abroad as a minor, so stay tuned so you can start your own treks, adventures, and memories too.
