Sleepover in Seattle

The answer to our little quiz is Seattle, Washington! Plaid, pines, and potlatches are iconic of the Northwest United States, right?

I’m in this cloudy place doing a little college searching. They have some very cool schools up here, and I am interested. I will be going to two other cities in this region as well: Tacoma, Washington and Portland, Oregon.

A lot of the schools I am looking at have a major emphasis on study abroad especially in Asia, which is right up my alley! They also are quite foreign language oriented. Russia, Japanese, German etc. Sadly no Portuguese. They have intrigued my curiosity though.

I am currently in a small bed and breakfast on the outskirts of the UW campus. I’m going to Pike Place (a major tourist destination soon), so stay tuned for some Seattle sight seeing.

Though it’s not abroad, it is certainly different from what I am used to. And who knows? Maybe I’ll see some foreign universities as well. But for now, enjoy the American Northwest: home of cloudiness, salmon, and the Space Needle. Looking forward to Tacoma and Portland. Travel safe!
