Signed, Sealed, Submitted!: GoAbroad Writing Contest

Recently, I posted about an opportunity for travel writers sponsored by GoAbroad.com. It is a writing contest that ends in two days (October 31, 2013 11:59 MST PM), and I finally submitted my entries. If you win any prize, you are at least published by GoAbroad on their blog, so it’s a definite win!

The results come out a few days after the deadline, so my nervousness will not kill me for weeks like the NSLI application has done. For everyone’s information, that doozy of a form is due November 5th, 2013 for the upcoming 2014-2015 programs. I really hope I get published, but knowing me, proof reading will probably be my downfall along with well, poor writing skills. However, let’s stay optimistic.

I wrote two articles on the topics of “Guidebook With a Twist” and “Top Five/ Top Ten” respectively. If you are interested in what the hell this means, follow the link below. I am unable to publish them before hand as a result of contest rules, but if I win, you’ll be able to read to your heart’s content in a few days. Cross your fingers, read some oracle bones, and check your star charts: Let’s foresee a good future for this endeavor.

Sorry for the lack of posts recently. I have been busy with school and some extra curricula, but worry not. Some food related articles are sure to come soon, a possible post about how I am unable to go to Asia this Thanksgiving and the spite I have for my Father because of this, and more information about my semester in … New England. Yes, I know, it isn’t abroad, but it is definitely different and I am getting really excited. Stay tuned – Adventure is out there.
P.S. Get those NSLI-Y applications in soon!
