NYChronicles: Chewonki Reunion

It’s another photo recap! Sorry. I’m lazy/should try to sleep (but I’m on vacation). Today, or really, yesterday, I ventured into Manhattan, amassing hordes of Chewonki people in tow for a day of broken plans, confusion, and bliss.

We got back home at around nine o’clock with a total of 6, then picked up 3 more from the train station who came in late. We are a very special people – unorganized but resilient. 36 52-ers came out for this event, which is considerable seeing that the semester had a total head count of 42 students. It was the absolute best to see everyone, and I felt it was like seeing someone from a week ago. Okay. At first, I had to remind myself this was actually happening, but that sentiment quickly faded into sheer euphoria since I was with everyone again.

There was no dwelling on missed time, just joy for the present. Tomorrow, well, today (12/31/14) is going to be even better since we are all congregating in New Jersey to celebrate the New Year, and this time, we have a plan! I can’t wait.

NYChronicles! It continues. Stay tuned for more cosmopolitan updates/occurrences on the blog and my twitter. And also, Happy New Year! Ring it in with celebration and friends. Y’all deserve it, and just you wait for what Expat-terns has in store for 2015 …
