Where Am I?

My Expat-terns

105. As a friend once said, rap, everywhere but the US it seems, tends to be protest.
48. Sometimes life will lead you into a drum circle. Just accept it at this point.
41. Respect customs agents even if they are assholes and super condescending to you. They literally control your fate. Throw in a, “yes Ma’am/Sir”, if you really want to seal the deal. If that doesn’t work, literally start worshipping them. Form a cult dedicated to their honor if you must.
50. Touch your palm – it is warm. You are living, so live. Celebrate life’s intricacies and subtleties everyday whether you travel or not.
60. Pout in the Paris metro system.
28. Take advantage of your climate. If you are in a perpetually overcast location and the sun appears: Go out and enjoy it. The same goes for the rain. Enjoy your environment especially the surprises it gives.
87. In the Frankfurt airport (maybe in all German airports), you do not need a boarding pass to go through security. You receive it afterwards. This can save you some time if you are confused and late for your plane.
98. Halloween is sadly not accepted by everyone. It is a very culturally relative holiday.
90. Be honest about who you are and where you come from.
42. Drink a lot of water when you are traveling especially when you are sick. Just do it.
